Two pens. Two completely different purposes.
Most pen sets give you variations of the same thing — same tip size, same ink type, just different colors. This isn't that.
The Piano silver gel pen at 0.7mm is precision writing. Clean, controlled, consistent flow on black paper. The kind of pen you reach for when a thought is forming fast and you can't afford skipping or smearing. It writes on black pages the way a pen should — no ghosting, no fading, clean lines every time.
The M&G golden metallic marker at 1.2mm is something else entirely. A wider tip, a bolder stroke, ink that sits on the black page with actual presence. This isn't for notes — it's for the line that deserves to be seen differently from everything around it. A date. A name. A sentence that carries more weight than the rest.
Together they give you two writing modes on the same black page. Precise and bold. Everyday and deliberate.
These aren't generic stationery store pens. Both were specifically tested on 110 GSM black paper for opacity, flow and bleed resistance before being chosen. The wrong pen on black paper is a genuinely frustrating experience. These aren't the wrong pens.

Questions
I don't draw or sketch. Is this still for me?
This isn't an art journal — it's a thought journal.
If you've ever had an idea that felt too heavy for your notes app, or written something you didn't want anyone else to read — this was already meant for you. The black page just makes it official.
Why black pages over white?
White pages were built for the world to read. Black pages are built for you.
The moment you open this diary, something shifts: you write differently, more honestly, without editing yourself. The darkness isn't just aesthetic. It's permission. And honestly — the black page creates a privacy that needs no explaining. You'll feel it the moment you open it.
Will the ink bleed through to the other side?
No. Each page is 110 GSM — chosen specifically because high-flow gel ink stays exactly where you put it. Clean on both sides, every time.
Will it slow down my writing?
Yes — and that's the point.
Black pages naturally slow you down. Not because they're difficult, but because they make you more intentional. You stop rushing and start choosing your words. That shift alone is worth it.
Why 110 GSM paper specifically?
Because anything lighter bleeds, and anything heavier turns this into an art pad instead of a diary. 110 GSM is the sweet spot — thick enough that gel ink and metallic markers never show through the other side of the page, thin enough that it still feels like a diary you write in every day, not a sketchbook you're afraid to open. Built for daily writing first. Sketching, doodling, whatever else you bring to it — it holds that too.
Why does the cover matter so much?
Because the first thing you feel before you write a single word is the cover in your hand. Ours is hard-bound, matte black, soft-touch — the kind of texture that feels expensive before you even open it. This isn't a detail we compromised on, and we're confident enough in it to bet the return policy on it. Built this to be held, not just written in.
Why a pen and a marker — not two pens?
Because not every thought carries the same weight.
The silver 0.7mm gel pen is for everyday writing — precise, controlled, consistent. The kind of pen you reach for when you're capturing a thought before it disappears.
The M&G golden metallic marker at 1.2mm is for something different. Bolder strokes, richer ink, more presence on the page. When a line deserves to look as heavy as it feels — that's when the marker does the work.
Two tools. Two different voices. Both chosen specifically for black pages.
Why these specific pens — not any others?
Because the wrong pen on black paper is genuinely frustrating.
Most standard pens are invisible on black pages. We tested specifically for opacity, flow and consistency on 110 GSM black paper before choosing these two. The silver gel pen gives clean precise lines without skipping. The golden marker gives bold rich strokes without bleeding through.
You don't need to experiment on your first page. We already did that part
What if it doesn't feel right?

We only ask that it comes back unused and in its original condition.
