About Us
It started with a question that wouldn't leave.
Why, in a world that keeps evolving, are we still handing our deepest thoughts to a white page — the same surface designed for receipts, reports, and things that were never private?
The answer, it turns out, is habit. And habits can be broken.
Ciphen began from that restlessness. The desire to create something that didn't just hold your words — but felt like it was built for you. A space as deep and honest as the thoughts you commit to it.
What we found along the way.
The stationery market in Pakistan has long depended on imports. Products shipped from abroad, marked up at every step, and priced out of reach for people who simply wanted something better to write in.
We chose a different path. Every Ciphen notebook is crafted here — in Pakistan, from raw material to final binding. No unnecessary markups. No compromised quality. Just an honest product, made with intention, priced for the people it was made for.
What Ciphen actually is.
Not just a notebook. A private vault.
The name comes from 'cipher' — the ancient art of writing in code. In computing, encrypted text is called cipher text: data so protected that only the intended reader can decode it. We chose the name deliberately, because everything about Ciphen is built around one idea: what you write here belongs to you. Unreadable to the world. Perfectly clear to you.
The black pages aren't a design choice; they're a statement. When someone picks up your Ciphen diary and sees those pages, something instinctive happens. They pause. They put it back down. The colour itself creates privacy that no lock ever could.
Ciphen is for the silent thinkers. The ones who carry more inside than they ever say out loud. The ones whose thoughts deserve a home that takes them as seriously as they do.
